Explore the use of creativity and art-making as a means of increasing well-being and fostering self-awareness.
About this event
The world is becoming more and more complex. Technology touches almost all aspects of our life. In some ways, it makes things easier than ever before. In other ways, it makes them more difficult.
In this world we live in, creativity is more important than ever before. Research shows that creativity facilitates and enhances problem solving, adaptability, self-expression, and health.
Join us at Arete Wellness Studio for this day-long art experiential workshop, facilitated by Lisa Wood, Board Certified Art Therapist & Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. This workshop will use art-making, video prompts, and journaling as a way to tap into subconscious thoughts and struggles. We will encourage participants in journaling and art creation that responds to the themes that arise after viewing a short film. Group dynamics will sensitively guide each person in reaching the highest human response.
---
The workshop will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 1 hour for lunch.
Lunch can be packed and brought to workshop (there is a refrigerator on premises) or participants can leave to go to any of several places located within the vicinity.
Participants should also bring: a journal, pen, comfortable clothing, and a blanket or meditation cushion.
Cost is $99 for the day, which includes all art supplies, coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.
